ABOUT THOMAS

Thomas is a born and bred New Yorker with a long history of fighting for those who are less fortunate. During his time at Marist College, he majored in political science, studying the inner workings of state and local governments. He used that knowledge to help build the college's Habitat for Humanity Chapter, attending two off campus week-long build sessions in Georgia and Florida.


While in law school at St. John's University School of Law in Queens, he worked for the school's Bread & Life Immigration Clinic. Thomas worked as a student-attorney for two years there; he helped poor immigrants apply for asylum, apply for green cards, obtain refugee and get their United States citizenship. He also worked at one of New York City's preeminent personal injury firms, aiding attorneys representing injured parties in car accidents, slip and falls, and snow and ice cases.


Upon graduation from St. John's, Thomas continued his firm work as an attorney, sharpening and honing his skills he learned as an intern; this time, with real stakes for real clients. After his first year of plaintiff's work, he switched to defense, representing some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in the country.


After that brief time in defense work, Thomas returned to the plaintiff's side of legal practice, bringing the defense sided perspective with him. Having fought on both sides of the proverbial fence, Thomas' knowledge base is unique and hard to find: something that gives him a winning edge over his adversaries.
